Halsetown 5-2 Grampound Veterans

Grampound took the lead early on with a good header by Alex Makepeace and the team looked to be on top for much of the opening period.  However, an equalising goal took the wind out of Grampound's sails.  An injury to Adam Trudgian in midfield seemed to disrupt Grampound's rythmn and a couple more disappointing goals were conceded before the break, one an unlucky penalty.
The second half saw Grampound have much of the play in the home side's half but chances were few and with quick breaks Halsetown always looked the more dangerous.  A couple more home goals put Halsetown out of sight and a late tap in goal for Mike Bawden was little consolation after the team had started so well and had dominated possession in the second half.
