Grampound suvived until the 20th minute after given away numerous chances but 3 quick goals and another on the stroke of half time gave Looe a commanding half-time lead. Grampound were denied a good chance when Jamie Bennetts was clearly fouled on the half way line and the referee allowed them to play on with the advantage. However, as a Grampound striker reached the Looe penalty area, clear of any defenders, the referee stopped play and made Grampound take a free kick fifty yards back near the centre spot - an awful decision. However, Grampound continued to give the ball back to their opponents so frequently that Looe did not really have to challenge much to gain regular possession.A change af shape after the break seemed to give Grampound improved composure and the visitors looked a lot less potent, with the home side managing to avoid conceding further goals and threatening a few times but without success.
