A virtually new team put in a highly creditable performance that on another day might have ended with a more positive result. The team defended well throughout, largely limiting the hosts to long shots. Grampound created the better chances in the first half with some neat football but on occasions a bit more composure would have benefited both defending and attacking. However, this was by a long way the best performance of the season and the brilliant spirit shown bodes well for the remaining matches.
