Match Report
Grampound 0-7 North Petherwin Res.

St Piran League Division 3 East
Grampound came uo against a strong visiting team and were under pressure for much of the game. Defenders valiantlt tried to keep Petherwin at bay but at times they looked like being overrun. The score was kept down to 0-1 until 5 minutes from the break but then 2 quick goals made the second half very difficult, Grampound did , however make a couple of reasonable opportunities but as legs went, more goals were conceded. Some positive points were improved performnces from Wilf Donnelly and Henry Hughes who both did well as well as solid games from the veterans players helping out, James Webb, Jules Woodman, Tony Ford (who also had a spell in goal) and Mike Bawden. With the team's regular goalkeeper and his normal stand-in unavailable, the team was grateful to Ryan Henderson returning to the club and he had an excellent game before having to retire late in the game with a suspected broken collar bone after a heavy fall.
