This was a pleasing performance but a disappointing and undeserved result.  Grampound might have been home and dry at the break but 3 excellent chances, one of them a penalty, were spurned.  Chances were fewer in the second half and Grampound went behind to an unstoppable drive after 10 minutes of the second half.  With injuries disrupting the home side it looked as if Newquay would walk away with the game but they were made to battle and Grampound should have equalised on several occasions, the best set of chances coming in a move where shots come out after hitting the underside of the Newquay crossbar and seconds later from the inside of a post. 

It was, however, an enjoyable game but Grampound simply needs to be a little more clinical in its finishing.
