Grampound 5-0 North Hill

3rd April 2020

Friendly

In the first game, a friendly, after a lockdown of almost 3 months Grampound had a comfortable win against an enthusiastic but limited side from North Hill.  Grampound took an early lead from a penalty by captain Dean Dunn followed on the half hour with a tap in by Pete Thomas.  Martin Lloyd picked up the ball just inside the visitors' penalty area and smashed an unstoppable shot into the net to give Grampound a 3 goal lead at the break.

The second half was mostly on-way traffic but Grampound's finishing might have been better. Eventually, good touch allowed Sam Blount to score from close range before a poerful shot from 25 yards by Hayden Boxall found the top corner, the goalkeeper's touch not enough to keep the rising shot out. Krampound keeper Dan Riley tipped a good shot over the bar in one of North Hill's few dangerous moments.
