Grampound's Reserves found themselves a goal down inside 10 minutes and surrendered possesion far too easily at Mount Charles, however two breakaway goals from Lee Budge saw Grampound take a 2-1 lead into the second half. Mount Charles brought on the dangerous George Dos Santos and they equalised within minutes of the restart and then went 3-2 from the penalty spot. With 10 minutes remaining Mike Bawden scored from close range following a corner, but the dangerous Dos Santos and a superb freekick saw Mount Charles take a 5-3 lead within minutes. Grampound were forced to then chase the game, but with Jake Blythe running the game for Mount Charles they scored twice more late on to make the scoreline a very flattering 7-3 to the hosts.
