(Duchy League Div 4)
Back to Fixtures

Grampound Reserves climbed off the bottom with their first win of the season at relegation rivals Stoke Climsland. Stoke took a second minute lead with a long range shot from Tony Chapman, but the visitors were level after fifteen minutes when Kev Toms squared the ball for Ryan Orchard to score. Jules Woodman was upended five minutes later and from the free kick, Mike Berry found Woodman who put Grampound ahead. Stoke were further handicapped before half time when they had a player sent off for dissent, but they were then gifted a soft penalty on the stroke of half time. Sixteen year-old Grampound keeper Adam Smith made a fine save from the spot kick, but Ross Clark followed up to level the score. Orchard hit a post just after half time, but Grampound finally earned the points from a 3-2 victory when halfway through the second half Orchard scored his second after good work from Toms.
