(Duchy League Div 4)
Back to Fixtures

Grampound Reserves are in desperate trouble at the bottom of the table after losing a crucial relegation clash to Stoke Climsland four nil. The match referee didn’t turn up and both teams agreed to a Stoke official taking the whistle. Thankfully the official had an outstanding game and there were no complaints from the home team after losing such a sporting contest. The game started evenly with Jason Retallick firing a good chance wide for Grampound. Stoke took the lead when a long throw fell to Toby Chapman who headed home. The next incident decided the game. Glyn Leaney handled on the line and was sent off and Chapman doubled the lead from the spot. Grampound battled hard at the start of the second half, but couldn’t finish some chances that they created. Jan Humphrey broke away to score the visitors third with Andrew Dicks scoring a late fourth.
