Lostwithiel 1-2 Grampound

(East Cornwall Youth League, Under 15s)
Back to Fixtures

What a cracking start to the season for the lads.  With just the eleven players available, they gave it their all from start to finish.  Playing attractive football, they dominated the match but were struggling to find the back of the net.  So it was against the run of play that they found themselves 1- 0 down at half time.  Refusing to panic, the lads continued to play their passing game in the second half and were justly rewarded with two goals to win the match.  The first was a long range shot from Jonny Ridd after good work from Matt Tremaine, and the second from Stu Eames after good work from Luke Wallis and Matt Anstey.

The manager's top three positives from the game:
The partnership at the back of Ben Keevil and Jake Endean in central defence.
            The fantastic team spirit.
The way the team kept the ball on the deck and played attractive passing football.

His one negative:
            The shocking throw-ins.
