Grampound 3-4 Biscovey

I know I keep saying that we have a great team spirit but you have to see it to believe it.  0-1 down again after less than 2 minutes, we got back into the game only to lose another sloppy goal from a corner. 0-2. Just when it looked like we were going to crumble, Jake took a great free kick straight onto Jonny who volleyed in a cracking goal.  1-2.  Biscovey recovered quickly and scored a good goal to make it 1-3 with 10 minutes to go before half time.  Jonny once again reduced the arrears to 2-3 with the goal of the game following a great passing move with Lobby, Stu and Isaac all involved.  Then just before half time, up stepped super-sub Matt T to score a solo effort from outside of the box and tie the game at half time 3-3.

In the second half we were much the better team, and actually Jonny scored a goal (his hatrick) that would have given us the lead but it was ruled out because the officials thought that it had gone over the bar when television replays showed that it had gone-in (I think it is time to bring in goal line technology to football!!).  As always with football, when this sort of things happens, the other team goes on and scores an undeserved goal.  And that is precisely what happened here. 3-4.  

A little later the referee had to abandon the match.  What happens next is up to the league. 

I thought Tom Rhodes made a great debut, but my Man of the Match was Ciaran who I thought had an outstanding match.
