Grampound 2-2 East Caradon Rangers

What a cracking performance against one of the top teams in the league and for the first time this season we got what we deserved for playing good football, in fact, you could argue we were unlucky not to win it.  What made the result all the better was the fact that we came back from being 2-0 down.

Isaac was voted man of the match but to be honest it was one of those team performances where everyone played their part.  You all keep asking to be mentioned in the match report, so this week I have written a brief report on every player:

Jonny, in goal, made a couple of important saves and provided much needed depth for the defence, 
Albert battled well and continued his improvement in going forward with the ball and supporting midfield.
Jake was immense always.  Any other game – he would have won MoM.
Lobby was his usual solid, reliable and calm self.  He is forming a great partnership with Jake. 
Ciaran got stuck-in and held the line well.
Nick worked tremendously hard in midfield, and ran his heart out.  A great performance.
Toby made a brilliant debut in the centre of midfield.  Combatant as well as creative.
Ben put himself about again and helped to win the middle of the park for us.
Isaac was outstanding.  Dominated the middle of the park and scored a superb goal after a clever one-two with Lewis.
Luke had a quiet first half but exploded into life in the second.  Clever passes and good tackling, he continued his run of strong performances.
Lewis also had a cracking debut.  Linked really well with midfield and provided a genuine threat up front.  Fantastic interchange with Isaac for the second goal.
Stu did well and once again showed great skill and quick feet.
Matt scored the all in important first goal to get us back in the game.  He is now the joint second top scorer in the team.
Tom battled well as always and gave me 100%
