Grampound went close early on when Ian Varnell hit a post. Back came Altarnun and Steve Lee fired them ahead with a crisp right foot shot. Lee then turned provider as his cross found Wayne Mackney and the striker scored his tenth goal of the season. Ryan Orchard scored after a good through ball by Jon Lannon to bring the visitors back in the game, and before half time they had levelled through a thundering Tim Topham header from an Aaron Yeo corner. Grampound took the lead in the seventieth minute when a ball over the top of the defence by Topham found Kev Toms who crossed for Orchard to score his second. Altarnun’s Rob Oldaker was brought down in the box and Lee stepped up to take the penalty, but he missed and there was no way back for the home team.
