Grampound Res. 3-1 Biscovey Res.

(Duchy league Division 5)

Back to Fixtures 2007-8

Grampound Reserves have now won seven of their last nine games after defeating Biscovey Reserves 3-1. They took a fifteenth minute lead when Alastair Woodman won the ball and passed for Kev Toms who put in a delightful through ball. The Biscovey keeper came out to kick clear, but his kick struck Dai Moseley and went back into the goal. Biscovey equalised after the break when a Jamie McAvoy cross was met by Lee Hunter. Grampound then scored twice in two minutes just after the hour to claim the spoils. John Ward put through a fine ball for substitute Joe Dunn to hit the first and then Mike Bawden’s through ball was spilt by the keeper and Toms took the chance to score. Biscovey fought back strongly and home keeper Nathan Bennett-Glew made a stunning save, tipping a good effort onto the bar.
