Grampound Res. 4-0 St Breward Res.

(Duchy league Division 5)

Back to Fixtures 2007-8

Grampound Reserves kept their first clean sheet of the season, and that was without player-manager and towering centre half Tim Topham as they beat St.Breward Reserves four nil. They dominated the first twenty minutes, but the final ball was missing. They eventually went ahead when an Aaron Yeo cross was blasted back towards goal by Alastair Woodman and Mike Bawden was on hand to ram home. Ryan Orchard nutmegged his marker and finished well for the second. Bawden then put a through ball which Mark Webb picked up for the third. Orchard hit the bar, as did the visitors and the Saints keeper made some fine saves as Grampound continued to dominate. With four minutes left on the clock more good play from Bawden when he back-heeled to Mike Berry to complete the scoring.
