Grampound Res. 4-2 Stoke Climsland

(Duchy league Division 5)

Back to Fixtures 2007-8

Grampound Reserves beat a much improved Stoke Climsland side 4-2. The visitors took a fifteenth minute lead when Ben Savage scored with a stunning twenty-yard shot and on the day of his eighteenth birthday. Grampound hit back to be 3-1 up before half time. Ryan Orchard was put clean through to equalise and then after a Mike Berry shot came back off the post Orchard snapped up his second. The hat trick goal came before the break when his shot was deflected home. Stoke were back in the match near the end when Tim Topham tripped James Wing in the box and Wing got up to put away the penalty. Grampound sealed the points when good work from Mark Webb and Mike Bawden set up Orchard for his fourth.
