Grampound started well against the wind with arguably their strongest squad for a number of weeks with the return of Woodman and James. Grampound defended resolutely 1st half restricting St Breward to one half chance from 30 yards which failed to trouble the Grampound keeper. They, however, spurned several chances with both Orchard and Berry going close on a number of occasions.
The half-time talk was positive with Topham asking the team to improve their decision making and to continue in the same vein as the 1st half.
Grampound went out positively but were a goal down 5 minutes following the restart after a defensive error. The game was always going to be an uphill struggle from this point. As Grampound chased the game, St Breward exposed cracks in the Grampound defence and scored a third. Jenkin was substituted for Topham as Grampound pushed three up front. Their perseverence was rewarded on 80 minutes when an Orchard free kick was deflected in following a terrible tackle on Yeo. Although Grampound pushed forward, St Breward hung on to claim all three points.
