Gunnislake Res. 2-1 Grampound Res.
(Duchy League Division 5)
Back to Fixtures
Grampound travelled to division 5 high fliers Gunnislake Reserves with a scratch side, however they put in a good performance and were unlucky not to get something from the game. Grampound took the lead on 15 minutes when the Gunnislake keeper spilt a rountine catch and Orchard was able to roll the ball into an empty net. Firth and Orchard both had good chances to make it 2-0 before Gunnislake scored twice in quick succession before the break, firstly a player headed home a powerful header from a corner following slack marking, and then a forward netted after the home team pierced the away team's offside trap.
Grampound had much of the play in the second half with Firth, Orchard and Toms all testing the visiting keeper. Sub Leaney also hit a good strike from distance that blazed over, however the team coulnd't force an equaliser. |
