Grampound Reserves visited Division Five high flyers Tintagel just one off the bottom of the League so their stunning four nil win was an outstanding result. They played the first half with the advantage of the slope and man-of-the-match Chris Prall won the ball in midfield and put a superb ball through to Kevin Toms with the outside of his foot, which the striker hit into the top corner from just inside the area. Tintagel thought they had equalised but saw their effort ruled out for offside and they were soon further behind when another Prall ball fell to Ryan Orchard who scored at the second attempt after the keeper blocked his first effort. Alister Berry then hit a fine diagonal ball for Toms to hit his second and put Grampound three up at the break. Tintagel put the visitors under pressure in the second half without threatening a great deal. Grampound had Orchard put the ball in the net only for another offside flag to rule out the goal, but five minutes from time substitute Ross Turton on his debut rounded the keeper for the fourth.
