Grampound, with a second game in as many days, were much changed for the visit of Stratton, champions because of Grampound holding Gunnislake Reserves to a draw on the evening before. Grampound looked the better side in the opening period and deservedly took the lead when Greg Dunn hit a 25 yard drive into the top corner. Just before half time Stratton blotted their copybook when Dean Dunn was on the end of a punch which saw the Stratton player sent off.
Stratton pulled one back but Grampound won the game when Woodman's through ball found Toms who made no mistake. Further chances to extend the lead were missed, but there can be no higher note to finish the season on than to beat the champions.
