Grampound Reserves won a tight and competitive game against Biscovey Reserves in the Reserve Team Cup with Ryan Orchard scoring the only goal of the game in the second half. It was touch and go whether the game went ahead, but the rain ceased and it was a good game played on a sticky pitch. The best chances of the first half fell to Grampound defender Alastair Woodman but he missed one and had a point blank volley blocked. Harry Cooke in the home goal pulled off a good save from Chris Evans to keep the score level. The goal came halfway through the second half when Orchard netted from close range. Cooke made two more good stops to keep Biscovey out while Varnell fired over for the hosts and Kevin Toms failed to increase the lead at the death when one-on-one with the visiting keeper.
Grampound, who were beaten in the preliminary round but reinstated when their opponents played unregistered players, now face a home tie with Division Four strugglers St.Mawgan Reserves in the Quarter-Final.
