With a full squad to select from, Glyn Leaney went with the team from the previous week except for Stuart Harris coming in for Ryan Maker, allowing John Brooker to move into the middle of midfield. However, this was a poor performance by Grampound against very moderate opponents who seemed unable to believe their luck at meeting the hosts in such poor form. Grampound still had the best of the play and created the best chances, but did not often look like punishing the lack of pace in Fowey's defence and midfield. With lacklustre Grampound displays all over the pitch it was no surprise when a Fowey shot went in of the bar midway through the second half, giving them the lead after Shane Weeks had equalised from the penalty spot awarded for fouls on Matt Fletcher.
It will be interesting to see manager Leaney's selection for the must-win match at Garrison Club next week.
