This was a pretty dull end of season affair, with both teams finishing mid-table whatever the result. Grampound probably had the better of the exchanges but failed to exploit the situation when on top. Grampound just about deserved the lead they took when John Emery headed home well from a Weeks corner, but the visitors were level within a minute when some rare slackness in Grampound's defence gave away a very soft goal. The rest of the game was very forgettable, but one spot of excitement that deserved a goal was when Alex Brunt powered past two defenders and his low hard cross was miraculously put over the bar by a retreating defender when everyone expected it to end up in the net.
