Welcome to
Grampound Football Club

Grampound FC has had a presence on the web since 2001 and this website is now separate from the Grampound with Creed Parish Council website where it once formed the largest section. As one of the biggest organisations in the village, links to and from the village website are still in place.vets

Grampound Football Club has been in existence for well over 100 years and its home is at Grampound Recreation Ground in the centre of the village, which is itself situated in the heart of Cornwall. The club enjoys exceptional changing facilities in Grampound Community Hall (opened 2004) in the Recreation Ground and in recent years has been running two men's teams in the Bodmin Trophies Duchy League, acknowledged as one of the best organised in the south west. The League, of which Grampound is a founder member, is made up of teams from the eastern half of Cornwall and has become so popular and successful that it has also attracted a number of clubs from West Devon into membership. As part of its development, the club is running a youth team (Under-18) and a Veterans team in the season 2010-11. The club is also a partner in the development of a mini-soccer centre at nearby Grampound Road for children in the locality.

FA Charter Club

Grampound FC was awarded Charter Club status in 2006, and is now in the process of developing youth and veterans football as part of its plan for creating wider participation and improved facilities over the next few years. The links above give more information about youth and veterans football. As a Charter Club, Grampound FC has adopted the FA's Respect codes of conduct.

Grampound FC Development Plan

The Grampound FC draft Development Plan has been discussed with Cornwall County FA and it was welcomed enthusiastically. Grampound FC is committed to working in partnership with Grampound with Creed Parish Council and other local bodies in order to put into place the four main themes of its Development Plan :-

  • To develop a high quality football club as a focus in our community

  • To work in partnership with other community organisations to use football to promote social inclusion and community development

  • To recruit, train and develop coaches, leaders, officials, administrators and volunteers

  • To develop football and community facilities to permit the other parts of the vision to take place
